When I started MGR, the idea was simple: get together, head out on a trail, learn something new and talk. That is how Routes, Mountains, Conversations came to life.

Today, that means hikes in Israel, children’s camps, journeys abroad and trips with your own group of friends. But behind every kind of trip, I see people: a child about to set off on their first independent adventure; someone who doubts their abilities; a participant arriving alone.

I want MGR to be a place where you can come as you are. You do not have to be an athlete or the life of the party. You can ask questions, feel nervous and not have all the answers. What matters is that we respect one another.

I want MGR to grow, with new destinations, capable group leaders and more opportunities for children and adults. That growth must rest on a team, clear preparation, honest terms and responsibility. The quality of a trip should not depend on whether Zhenya has managed to answer every message personally.

In our camps, I want to give children the chance to try things, make friends and become more independent. On our trips for adults, I want to leave room for curiosity, new connections and the feeling: “I am so glad I decided to go.”

We do not promise to change your life in a single hike. But we can give you a reason to step beyond your usual routine.

The sky is still our limit. And I hope that, on the way there, more good people will be walking beside us.
