A circular autumn hike above and along Nahal Kziv, with old water mills and Deer Forest.
The autumn route through Nahal Kziv and the Montfort area begins in an olive grove near Matsuva and Shlomi. The trail first travels above the gorge toward the Temple, Knight’s Cave and the relief known as the “Man in the Wall,” then descends into the river section of the route.
Below, the walk continues along the riverbed and past old water mills, connecting the natural landscape of Kziv with Crusader and de Milly history. Oriental plane trees and the rare evergreen Syrian maple shape the autumn setting, while the return includes a sustained climb through Deer Forest.
