A prechecked route through the sinkhole zone, with a salt beach, crystals, geology and a freshwater pool.
The route takes place near Nahal Tamarim and Mitzpe Shalem, with the exact meeting point sent to participants via WhatsApp. Over six hours, the group covers approximately 8 km on a route checked in advance for the sinkhole zone, weather, flood conditions and access.
The day’s features include a beach covered by a salt carpet, salt crystals and “pearls,” salt cliffs with stalactites and stalagmites, sinkholes viewed from a safe distance, and a freshwater pool in the Metzuke Dragot area. The walk is physically easy, but leaving the approved route is not permitted.
